El siguiente es una colaboración de Jorge, que directamente desde México me trajo este hermoso álbum. Y además Jorge nos va a proporcionar información y álbums de rock mexicano, así que queda oficialmente presentado nuestro nuevo colaborador.
A mí me gusta mucho La Barranca, ese rock poético de tanto vuelo me mata, y repito, este disco es hermoso. No sé si lo mejor que han sacado, pero tiene un muy buen nivel desde el principio hasta el final. Después de casi 20 años, aparecen nuevamente con este discazo.
Como es un álbum que recién sale a la venta, no podemos poner los links de descarga, no es justo ya que los músicos no nos autorizaron. Siguiendo mi política, en un año publico los links para beneplácito de todos ustedes.

Increíblemente, Jorge me asegura que en México siguen siendo un grupo de culto, pero super desconocidos para la mayoría, a pesar de su talento y su cantidad de discos y de años trabajando. Bueno, no sé de qué me sorprendo.

Tras un largo proceso, La Barranca vuelve este 2013 con su disco más maduro: Eclipse de memoria. Muestra del trabajo iniciado en 2009 por José Manuel Aguilera, presentándose primero en solitario, luego agregando unos cuantos músicos invitados como Enrique Castro en la marimba, las canciones de este disco sufrieron un proceso de evolución y "añejamiento" durante el cual algunas de ellas pasaron a ser parte del repertorio de las presentaciones en vivo de la banda, hasta que estuvieron listas para ser grabadas y plasmadas en un disco de larga duración.

En 2013 La Barranca presenta su nueva producción discográfica Eclipse de Memoria, un ciclo de canciones que giran en torno al paso del tiempo, el olvido y la ilusión de la memoria, tanto en lo personal como en lo colectivo. Entre sus once cortes ya destacan los temas El Tiempo es Olvido y Ante la Ley. El álbum nos muestra una Barranca madura y expandida, a la que se han agregado nuevas sonoridades, entre ellas la marimba e instrumentos de aliento, para crear una obra abierta, en donde las canciones se construyen en torno a ensambles y pulsos rítmicos, logrando así su disco más maduro y expansivo.
Para la realización de Eclipse de Memoria a la banda se ha sumado una larga lista de notables músicos colaboradores, entre los que destacan: Alfonso André, Cecilia Toussaint, el guitarrista Adolfo Romero y el baterista Navi Nas, quienes han estado en la banda desde la gira de Providencia, el marimbista Quique Castro, el reconocido contrabajista Agustín Bernal, el saxofonista Daniel Zlotnik, la cellista Mónica Del Águila y el multi instrumentista Yamil Rezc.

En este disco escucharán pasajes, melodías, armonías e instrumentos que antes, o no habían tenido tanta relevancia o de plano no se le habían escuchado a la banda. Desde la primera nota y a lo largo del disco resalta la inclusión de la marimba como un instrumento primordial en el nuevo sonido. Si bien la marimba ya había estado presente en Rueda de los tiempos (2000), no se le había dado tal importancia y, dicho sea de paso, no había sido ejecutada por un instrumentista especializado en la misma. Las trompetas, trombones y saxofones también presentes en discos anteriores arrebatan el protagonismo en pasajes trascendentales y se unen a ellos la flauta y el hulusi (flauta de calabaza). Repiten de nuevo y brillan también más que antes las cuerdas con el trío de Mónica del Águila, y después de varios años (por no decir muchos) regresa la voz de Cecilia Toussaint, a quien la verdad ya se le extrañaba. Por supuesto el sonido que caracteriza a La Barranca sigue estando ahí, inconfundible, es solo que esta vez, como lo dijo el mismo José Manuel Aguilera, se trata de una "Barranca expandida".

El momento ha llegado. Dënver lanza su esperado tercer álbum "Fuera de Campo".
El tercer disco de una banda puede ser el decisivo, el que marcará si tienen futuro o declinará el dedo para abajo para darle un alto a su carrera.
El tercer álbum a veces sugiere la entrada a las grandes ligas, aunque esto no es ninguna regla. Con "Música, Gramática, Gimnasia", el dúo chileno formado por Milton y Mariana se posicionó como uno de los grupos latinoamericanos más interesantes.
Ese segundo álbum nos regaló clásicos instantáneos como “Lo que quieras”, “Los bikers”, “Los adolescentes” y “Olas gigantes”, los llevó al festival Vive Latino y ahora, entregan su tercera producción bajo el nombre "Fuera de Campo".
Para Dënver, el tercer álbum representa madurez, crecimiento y la llave que les abrirá las puertas a lo que les falta por conquistar.

...Like Clockwork is the first Queens Of The Stone Age album since 2007's Era Vulgaris and, according to its founder constant, Joshua Homme, "...like clockwork was the only thing that didn't happen.
